Nine Palestinians kidnaped by Israeli occupation forces in West Bank and In Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Published: Mon, 13-November-2017

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued on Sunday to carry out arrest campaigns in the West Bank and In Al-Quds (Jerusalem), claiming its forces arrested nine Palestinian citizens in the morning.

According local sources, the IOF kidnapped five Palestinian young men during a campaign in al-Deheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem.

Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that a special security squad aboard a civilian car carrying a Palestinian plate stormed the camp and kidnapped 37-year-old Wa’el Salem from his home.

Salem was described as an ex-detainee and representative of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in the factional coordination committee in Bethlehem.

The eyewitnesses added that Israeli soldiers rushed to the camp to back up the squad before all of them stormed another house and rounded up two young men from the family of Ma’aali, who are also ex-detainees and PFLP operatives.

During their presence in the camp, the troops also raided the house of a wounded citizen called Akaram al-Attrash for the third time and threatened to kill him if he did not turn himself in.

Meanwhile, several young men from the camp clashed with the soldiers, throwing them with Molotov cocktails, empty bottles and stones. The soldiers, in turn, responded by firing tear gas and stun grenades at them.

Two young citizens called Walid Nawawreh and Muhanad al-Badan were also taken prisoners during IOF campaigns in Bethlehem city and Taqua town to the east.

In Al-Quds (Jerusalem), local sources told the PIC that Israeli soldiers kidnapped a citizen called Amir Abu Mifreh from his home in Attur town.

In Jenin, the IOF stormed the towns of Rummanah, Zububa, Kafr Dan and Ti'inik to the west, raided homes, interrogated citizens and handed others summonses for interrogation from the Shin Bet.
